Adventurous Activities

Find an activity

As a starting point we would suggest you look at the HQ Activity Guidance. This webpage is designed to link you to all the information you need to run any particular activity, including the requirements for undertaking a permit.

The Activity Permit Scheme

The Adventurous Activity Permit Scheme is an internal assessment scheme designed to make sure that all those leading adventurous activities for young people within Scouting have the skills, experience and personal suitability to do so.

Applying / Renewing an Activity Permit

Applications or requests for an Activity Permit, including Nights Away are made through My Membership. More information can be found here on how to submit your request.

Please remember – if you think you have a permit, but it isn’t recorded on My Membership, then it is not valid. The only valid Activity Permits are those recorded against your personal record within My Membership.

Opportunities

Any opportunities to undertake an Adventurous Activity Permit through our County Adventure Programme Team will be listed on our Calendar.
